Chapter 6

Lenox, Cobra, Roman, and Ziek watched over Alessa all night. She woke up several times acting like she was completely intoxicated, and even started to undress then kiss Cobra. He was still trying to get over that, and her expressed desires that she wanted them in her bed and to claim her their woman already. They didn’t know if it was the truth or not, but boy, did hearing her say the words and basically attack them and kiss them, confuse the hell out of them. They had to hold her down and talk calmly to her to get her to relax and fall back to sleep.

He and the guys talked about how bad this drug was, and how pissed off they were knowing some piece of shit could very well have gotten her out of the club if it weren’t for Alda. Their buddies Brew, Royce, Logic, and Train were fuming mad and so damn pissed when the guy said he put something in Alda’s drink too but she didn’t drink it, that Brew nearly killed the guy on the spot. Staring at Alessa as she slept in her bed had him feeling the same jealous, angry feelings for the guy responsible. He wanted to find the source, the supplier of this very unique and expensive drug.

“Hey, Andreas is on the phone. He got a hold of a number for that guy at the club. It’s no longer in service,” Lenox said to him.

“They’re on to us. They must have heard about last night and the two women being connected to the families. It has to be,” Cobra replied.

“Word travels fast when Brew is pissed off and wants heads on platters. Man, I thought he was going to kill that guy.”

“I thought of doing it myself,” Cobra said and then looked back to the bed where Alessa lay sleeping. She was still wearing the sexy dress, but her feet were bare, the feminine red toenails peeking out from under the covers.

“Cobra, Roman, and Ziek want these guys, just as badly as the rest of us do. We need to get someone over here to keep watch over Alessa while we go hunting. Bella and Caprice will be here in an hour or so,” Lenox told him.

“Good, and some guards, too, right?”

“Definitely,” Lenox said and then Cobra watched Lenox walk closer to the bed and caress her hair.

“She’s too sweet, too angelic to have come so close to such monsters. If they got her to that party…fuck,” Lenox said, pulling back and running his fingers through his hair.

The floor creaked and Cobra saw Ziek and Roman.

“Did she awake again?” Ziek asked just as Alessa started to blink open her eyes. Lenox was closest and bent down by the side of the bed. Her eyes landed on him.

“Easy, baby. How are you feeling?” he asked her and she blinked several times and then looked at him wide eyed and then toward the others. She blinked again as if she thought she was imagining seeing them there.
